What is EEG Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback trains the brain to produce calm, alert states in the body and mind.  This learning strategy is based on the principle that many disorders, such as depression, anxiety, poor attention and learning difficulties arise from brain wave dysregulation. This type of training teaches the brain to restore its own balanced states.

The procedure I use is non-invasive, which means that the brain’s E.E.G. is merely observed by the therapist.

Brain training sessions last about 50 minutes and are best when scheduled twice weekly.  The sessions are interesting and engaging.  During the sessions, your brain receives information on how it is performing and is rewarded through the computer software while looking at a game on the computer.  You use only your observations (no hands on) to activate games that train your brain waves, allowing you to better control your mood and attention.
